IACUC Meeting Minutes 5/17/2011

1:00 pm Started the meeting

• Minutes from the past two meetings will be e-mail over the summer. No minutes from the Feb. 22, 2011 no minutes taken

• New AUPs: Ramsey, Effects of feed containing okara on weanling crossbred Boer goats. No need for full board review, approved by Lyman-Henley and Hanna review. Langford is doing a summer preparation for new AUP. Langford has IRB approval and needs IACUC approval for secondary.

• Discussed Dropbox going away and SharePoint replacing it and will let you know when that happens.

• Discussed Annual reviews Kopachena: P08-09-12, Biology and urban control of Great-tailed Grackles (Quiscalus mexicanus), only outstanding annual review from Fall 2010. Needs to submit short form changes and any productive.

• Summer Projects
  • Semi-Annual report submitted. Fall-August/September schedule for next inspections for Annual Report for OLAW.
  • Gave the committee the link to review the procedure for the University.
  • SOPs Dr Lyman-Henley is going to work on.
  • Training for Ag materials check with Mona
  • AUP Education form is working will send out to committee for review.
  • Feral Cat Program is on hold, and collars need to be removed, Dr. Lyman-Henley will work with Dr. Reid on this process. 6 or 7 cats.
  • No full board meeting during summer handle business via e-mail.
